For Immediate Release
6 October 2025

The Vocational Mental Health Practitioners Association of Australia (VMHPAA) extends warm greetings to everyone celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival also known as the Moon Festival and Tết Trung Thu across Australia and around the world.
This festival is a time to gather with loved ones, share mooncakes and lanterns, and reflect under the bright moon on gratitude, reunion, and hope.
“From our VMHPAA community to yours - 中秋节快乐 / 中秋節快樂 and Chúc Tết Trung Thu vui vẻ,” said Shane Warren, Chair of VMHPAA. “May the full moon bring rest, connection, and a renewed sense of belonging. And for those far from home or missing someone special, we hope you feel the warmth of community and the comfort of care.”
VMHPAA recognises the rich contributions of Chinese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Singaporean, Malaysian, and broader Asian diaspora communities to our neighbourhoods, workplaces, and schools. We reaffirm our commitment to culturally safe, accessible mental-health support in every community.
If this season is difficult or you need to talk, support is available. Remember reaching out is a sign of strength.
