Accessibility and Inclusion Statement

At the Vocational Mental Health Practitioners Association of Australia (VMHPAA), we are proud to be an inclusive community that welcomes people of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. We believe that true excellence in mental health care is only possible when diversity, accessibility, and inclusion are actively embraced and championed.

We are committed to ensuring that our programs, events, membership services, and online resources are accessible to everyone - including people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ individuals, and all other members of our broader community.

VMHPAA continually strives to remove barriers to participation and engagement. We work to provide accessible venues, inclusive language, adaptive resources, and alternative formats wherever possible. In addition, we are dedicated to ongoing improvement, regularly reviewing our practices to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our members and the wider community.

Beyond our internal practices, we also seek to be a strong voice advocating for greater diversity, accessibility, and inclusion across the mental health sector. We believe that every practitioner - and every individual seeking support - deserves to feel seen, respected, and empowered.

If you experience any barriers to access or have suggestions on how we can do better, we warmly invite you to contact us.

Together, we are building a professional community where everyone belongs.
