Becoming an Approved Training Provider recognises your commitment to delivering professional development that aligns with AA,HP's standards - and connects you directly with Australia’s leading community of vocational mental health practitioners.

Who Should Apply?

Approved Training Provider status is ideal for:​

  • Private education companies
  • Organisations running a series of CPD workshops, seminars, or courses
  • Employers providing in-house training options for practitioners

Our Expectations

Approved Training Providers must demonstrate:

  • Alignment with vocational mental health practice and principles

  • Delivery of evidence-based, ethical, and professionally relevant training

  • Commitment to participant learning outcomes and skills development

  • Qualified facilitators or trainers with experience in the mental health sector

Important Distinction

Approved Training Provider status covers your organisation and a range of your educational activities, via our Gold Corporate Membership.

If you wish to seek recognition for a single workshop, seminar, or course, you should apply instead for individual course approval via our Corporate Memberships - either Bronze or Silver.

Purpose of an Approved Training Provider 

 

Gold Corporate Membership with AAMHP is designed for organisations, training providers, health services, community organisations, and businesses that employ or support vocationally trained mental health practitioners. The aim is to create a unified, high-standard professional environment for both employers and practitioners to contribute to Australia's mental health system.

 

Eligibility

​

Gold Corporate Membership is open to:

​

  • Mental health services

  • NDIS providers

  • Peak bodies and non-government organisations (NGOs)

  • Aboriginal Medical Services

  • Education providers

  • Community-based organisations

​

Responsibilities

​

Gold Corporate Members are expected to:

​

  • Support the AAMHP Code of Ethics and Practice

  • Encourage continuing professional development and supervision for staff

  • Promote workforce inclusion, diversity, and culturally appropriate services

  • Maintain active communication with AAMHP

 

Application Process

​

Organisations wishing to join must:

​

  1. Complete the Gold Corporate Membership application form

  2. Provide supporting documentation as required

  3. Agree to AAMHP's Code of Ethics and Terms & Conditions

  4. Submit payment of the membership fee based on corporate membership level

For organisations and businesses that offer a range of educational opportunities throughout the year.

  • Must be a registered Gold Corporate Member of AAMHP

  • Recognition, AAMHP highlights your organisation as a trusted, recommended training provider

  • Allows you to promote your workshops, courses, and CPD programs directly to our membership

  • Shows your commitment to supporting vocational mental health practitioners in their professional growth.

2. Approved Course Status:

 

For individual workshops, seminars, short courses, or events that meet AAMHP’s standards for professional development.

  • This recognition is for a specific educational offering

  • Suitable for independent trainers, facilitators, and guest lecturers

  • Validates your event as a valuable CPD opportunity for AAMHP members

  • Demonstrates alignment with AAMHP's ethical and professional practice standards

  • Must register as a Bronze or Silver Corporate Member for recognition and approval.
