The Metaphor Magic Box with Lily Seto: Unlocking Wisdom through Symbolic Modelling is an experiential workshop exploring how metaphor and symbolic objects can help clients move beyond familiar ways of thinking and see an issue from a different perspective.
For AAMHP members, this is particularly useful when working with clients who feel stuck, overthink a problem, struggle to find language for what they are experiencing, or need another way of exploring relationships, patterns and possibilities. Rather than relying only on conversation, the Metaphor Magic Box gives clients a physical and visual way to represent what is happening and begin making new connections.
The workshop is strongly practical. Participants will see the process demonstrated, explore the thinking and neuroscience behind metaphor, work with their own Metaphor Magic Box, and practise facilitating the process with another participant.
