About the event
Peer-to-Peer Encouragement for VMHPAA Members
Working with neurodivergent couples requires nuance, flexibility, and a willingness to widen our therapeutic lens. This 2-hour online workshop, Supporting Connection in Neurodivergent Couples, offers practical insight into the lived realities many couples and families navigate daily.
The session explores common themes that frequently emerge in practice - communication breakdowns, differences in emotional processing, sensory sensitivities, executive functioning challenges, parenting tensions, and varying expressions of intimacy. Rather than presenting a rigid model, the workshop encourages reflective and adaptive approaches that honour difference while strengthening connection.
For VMHPAA members, this training is particularly relevant if your work includes:
couples counselling or relationship support
neurodivergent clients and families
