Peer-to-peer encouragement for VMHPAA members

If you work anywhere near the suicide prevention space - frontline support, counselling, peer work, community services, supervision, or policy - NSPC26 is one of the most worthwhile events on the calendar. Hosted by Suicide Prevention Australia, the conference brings together lived-experience leaders, practitioners, researchers, services, and decision-makers to share what’s working, what’s emerging, and what needs to change. 

The 2026 theme, United Voices, Brighter Futures, is a strong fit for VMHPAA members: it centres collaboration, inclusive dialogue, and practical action, especially important for vocational and community-based practitioners who often sit closest to real-world need. Expect a mix of research, innovation, sector learning and connection across communities and settings, with a large national gathering of delegates in Sydney.
