About the event
Peer-to-peer encouragement for AAMHP members
The Lüscher Colour Measure Practitioner Certification is a one-day intensive training introducing practitioners to the Lüscher 8-Color-Test, a colour-ranking approach developed from the work of Swiss psychologist Dr Max Lüscher.
For AAMHP members, the interest in this program is its use of a different doorway into client exploration. Rather than relying entirely on language, self-report questionnaires or the client’s prepared narrative, the colour measure provides a structured non-verbal exercise that can be used to generate further discussion about current experience, stress, priorities and areas that may warrant exploration.
The training takes participants through the history and rationale of the approach, the meaning attributed to the eight colours, groupings and grey scales, and the practical process of administering and interpreting the measure. A significant part of the day is experiential, with participants practising the test with one another and working through the resulting interpretations.
