On Wear It Purple Day, the Australian Association of Mental Health Practitioners (AAMHP) stands in solidarity with LGBTIQA+SB young people and celebrates the importance of diversity, inclusion, visibility and self-expression.

Wear It Purple Day is an important reminder that inclusion is not simply about visibility or celebration. For LGBTQIA+ young people, feeling safe, respected and able to explore identity without judgement can have a profound influence on mental health, confidence, connection and hope for the future.

Today, the Vocational Mental Health Practitioners Association of Australia (VMHPAA) joins communities across the nation in proudly celebrating Wear It Purple Day - a day dedicated to affirming and empowering LGBTIQA+ young people.
